Looks like fun dressing up. Maybe when i visit i'll do something totally extravagant gotta say i really like that last picture haha girl on the left is a cutie
OMG!!!!!!!!! Burst Mode Destiny for $50. Here in Canada is like $100. Man, I wish I lived in Japan. You lucky Danny, being around all those gagets. I'm planning to spend some time at Akihabara on my trip to Japan in August.
Uh oh. See the 12th pic down with the guys head poppin out the bottom? Danny got sniped by an low angler. Hope your codpiece was on straight. XD The big question is though: What's in the orange bag? Hmm...
I suppose it's not often someone 'cosplays' as a stormtrooper in Akiba. Which explains the crowd. Or is it his internet fame?
did any get the destiny extreme burst? is it worth it? haha back to topic argh!!! i wish i can go to japan and go to Akiba. i probably stay the for 1.5 days like morning to 3am then back for a second time ^____^ is the living expenses at Tokyo higher than the living expenses at California?
I'd feel somewhat uncomfortable in your situation, but that's what makes it so thrilling. I'd stop by Akihabara for the poops and giggles definitely. Originality is definitely rare to come by, isn't it? I like the idea of traversing with a rabbit on your shoulder. lol
I guess I'll be spending about 10 to 15% of my next trip in Akiba. I'm only planning about 1 day on my two week trip. Man it sure does look like you guys are having a ton of fun out there. I need to make sure I'm going on a Sunday.
FatB, More about the orange bag in a post this week ^^;
Looks like fun every time you go out. I think your blogger friend figures no one will think there's anything expensive in a simple manila folder, lol. I like the last picture the best, both girls are cute.
You're a genuine celebrity there, Danny, I envy you
Traipsing around Taibei in my regular clothes (black, tall boots, gambler hat) gets me a fair few looks, so I can relate; even so, I've never been completely surrounded. Must get difficult to get around. ... Then again, that's why Danny's wearing stormtrooper armor, right?
Spent the last day in Japan exploring every nook and cranny of Akiba, but by then I already ran really low on money so I didn't buy anything _| ̄|○
Last picture, girl on the right
Lol There's some text missing from my last post... Is that because I used the word 'damn' in it or is it because I typed the numbers and then edited my text?? Anyway, Japanese girls are h0t!!
Since I'm going to Japan again for 2 weeks like last time, I usually have one week Tokyo, one week somewhere else. So it will be about 20% Akiba ;p But that's planning, as I probably will end up being in Akiba more, after I've done my other sight seeing. Akiba is like a fall-back location, when everything else is done ^^;
It's cool to see people love your Storm Trooper costume Danny :D I love going to Akihabara on Sunday when they close off the road for public and many events happen on the road. I usually stay in Japan for 2-3 weeks whenever I go down there. Even though Akihabara is an awesome place to be, I try not to go there on daily basis so fun won't diminish each time I visit there. Four places I usually go are Akihabara, Shibuya(for Shibuya Mandarake and other misc. Shibuya fun), Ikebukuro and Nakano Broadway. I go to those places in random order so I'll enjoy them as much as I can and buy many stuffs as much as I can as well ^^; Ah, I miss Akihabara already and all the shops there, this post is such a tease >_
" I seem to be making quite a few friends of late who just happen to be Idols" RAGE! I'm jealous :P
I tend to go to different places every time I visit Japan, but in Tokyo I usually stay close to Akiba so I can spend a while there in the evenings. Once or twice in the past I've spent entire days there but this is gruelling!
hey danny you are a star thnks for this page for my you are my Imperial storm trooper god¡ please do more trips in the Lord vader Mode and post thr videos please please.
Looks like a good time had by all, if the weather's any good i'll get out there this weekend coming.
Went to Akihabara nearly every day on my fortnight vacation. There was something different going on every day. And everyday I found a new otaku store I hadn't found before. I want to go back.
looks like your typical sunday in akiba ^___^ i'm also curious on the orange bag that you have and i'm guessing its a new figure that you pre-ordered =3 wow! i really envy you that you know a lot of idols ^_________________^
"I seem to be making quite a few friends of late who just happen to be Idols" Time for some introductions, Danny! On another note, I'm really jealous that you get to spend all the time you want to (or not) in Akiba... I've hinted on this before, but I'm not gonna get to go to Japan unless I work for it myself. Oh well. I hope to see you in Tokyo one day! It's one of the destinations in my life :P
MacBook Air!!! do want!!! but Apple products are priced slightly too high for my pocket to handle without burning a hole in it
ah, I went to akiba on last Sat.. should have gone yesterday instead and would have got the chance to meet you :P some guys back in singapore aleady reminding me to say hi to you should happen to see you ^^
I spent a few hours there yesterday too but I didn't see any stormtroopers! I feel cheated! I saw lots of maids and quite a few of the people in your photos. Ahh, maybe next time!
I'll be spending 0% in Akiba coz it's aonly gonna be a dream... Noooo!!!
just wonder, danny. maybe next time u gonna drop by akiba, give us a head up. :P thanks!
Rino-chan cosplaying Shana is sooo cute ;3 Danny introduce us to all of your cute idol friend! LOL
hopefully next time have chance to visit Akihabara...
that cute maid & rino-chan is damn cute!!!!!
4 hours in akihaba is like... ahh T_T Heaven >_
また、ニアミスしてたんですね。 この日は、ellcy90と一緒にはいかいしてたんですが、ぜんぜん、見つけられませんでしたよ。
Great, I envy you, man!! I think four hour can be enough to see all i want to see, and buy, of course!!
That must be a pretty good life Danny. It's very envious. XD But I'd probably spend half my time in Akiba, since that's where all the goodies are. XP
I'll be in Tokyo in late March/early April and am planning to spend a day in Akiba, that makes about 20% of my time in Tokyo
japan... where all your friend is an idol or cute girl >_< u are so gawddamn lucky in life danny
Maybe 50%... just right. On the off-chance I do get there and I see a stormtrooper with a red armband, I WILL shout: dannychoo.com Banzai! XD
I will probably spend from 1/2 a day to one whole day there lol, need to see more of Tokyo while I'm there. Though probably 3/4 of all my money will go to Akiba ;p.
When I was in Japan, out of 24 days I spent 10 days in Tokyo, and on those 10 days I think I visited Akihabara about 5 times? So it's about 50% I guess.
Well I would guess that I would spend 30% of my Tokyo time in Akihabara but the main part will be making photos and video for my friends and family. But probably all of my money would stay in Akihabara and other Otaku districts... ^^
Wow. Would love to spend my 4 hours like that. heheh! ^^ I'd probably spend about 50-60% of my time in Akiba when I do get to Japan. I'd bet I'd spend a fortune there as well. XD
Mmmmm cliff hangers!
Nice pics... I spent 22 days in Japan, went 3 times to Akiba. Once with the whole family (I went on a trip with 6 people from my family and 1 family friend) and twice alone. Which was a lot considering we didn't had time to visit even main tourism places... like Asakusa-Kannon temple.
Someday I will get there. That looks like way too much fun!
Weeeeeeee, i want to go there, i want to go there and i will spend my entire life there, weeeeeeeeeee^^
When I make it up to Tokyo, I want to spend as much time as possible in Akihabara. After all, there is a lot to see and do! Lots of money to spend too... ^o^ I've heard people remark how busy and how hard you work. You can do that since you play so hard. It's always nice to be able to mix fun and business together. I really want to make my new future as much like that as I can. Ok, we all read the stories that tell us PC usage is dropping in Japan. I say its because Japanese are going back to the Mac. Many people forget that the Mac was really big in Japan at one time. Danny you have become something of an idol yourself, don't you think? With how recognized you are in armor and the press exposure you get. I think it's only natural that you attract attention from the female idols. How is the iPod Touch?
The last time i was in tokyo i stayed in Akihabara for the duration of the trip... but i feel that i havent explored it enough yet. Round 2 copming up?
プライマリーズがアキバで踊る踊る。 Primaries being stormtrooper akiba 秋葉原 cosplay kawaii かわいい ミュージック Edward, The iPod Touch is great - cant wait for the SDK to be launched. Demacrez, Life is great - was thinking that on my way home from Akiba the other day ^^; ゴッドさん、 おお!今度行くときれ楽しますね。毎週行っていますか?日曜日以外はほこてんが無くてちょっとつまらない。
Hey Danny do you always head up to Akiba during the weekends? I plan to spend around a little over a month in Tokyo and a week in Osaka from May to the end of June. It would be an honor to bump into you for a picture in your outfit ;)
I'll be there next month with my SANDTROOPER armor. Can't wait!!
Shou, Not every weekend but If I go I try to go on a Sunday.
Sundays, huh? I'll be in Japan in six weeks, with Tokyo at the end of the trip. I'll keep a look out for a dancing Stormtrooper... (How many different Troopers frequent Akihabara? It could be an easy case of mistaken identity!)
I wouldn't mind spending a few hours in Akiba myself. I will go there soon... just a matter of time(and money).
Wow thats a big crowd and following interesting you don't see much starwars cosplayers in japan besides you danny. I see some over here in the US at anime conventions but hardly in Akihabara.
Nice Danny - you have really proved that having destination in life is very important. Now it's my turn to prove that! ^^
woaaa Danny that's a lot of people following you, i'd scared if they follow me hahah.....anyway..... I SEE THE TROOPER DANCIN AGAIN!!
Danny...You're amazing! Check Twitter for more details. XD
humm... i am planning a trip to japan around september, and more so than akihabara, i want to check out the fashion districts like shibuya more... but i will be @ akihabara dropping some serious "dough" regardless...
i'll go there every weekend ^^
hahaha hopefully i'll see a storm trooper with the SOS brigade thing it's arm next time i go there :3
