96)Oh wow is that the oft mentioned but hardly ever seen Ms Choo?
We were having a dry winter (no snow for Christmas), but now its been cold and snowy for the last couple of days. Although there's snow over there in Tokyo it doesn't seem that cold. Here, its the wind. Windchill always hits you like a wall. It's about -24C right now. Unless I'm goin snowboarding or somethin I'm stayin INSIDE.
I live in Texas so I rarely see snow, It hasn't snowed in 2 years :( and when it does it only snows for 10 minutes -_-. btw, first comment I make but been lurking for a long time, I really like your blog danny, I visit every day.
Singapore's totally non-seasonal lol. It just gets cooler towards the end of the year. Right now the weather's pretty cool too. Man I love winter...
Do you is build snow rabbits? Do you is see cutesy school girls? ^^;
Just got 50cm of the stuff in 2 days where I live, I really, really want spring to come. :(
Unh.. I prefer summer much more than winter, actually - I prefer sweating than freezing. >_< Winter wa daikirai! ^^ But, maybe with a little bit of adaptation I may come to term with winter..
woah, i never touch pure snow before. =S sad aint?
"Mon pays ce n'est pas un pays, c'est l'hiver" This is a quote from a well known local poet and singer songwriter, Gilles Vigneault. In english it pretty much mean "My country isn't a country, it winter". Been from Quebec we have really cold winter and lots of snow. We had so much snow this years that most city have an hard time finding place to dump the snow off the road. Also, if it hadn't melted a few time, I'ld probably wouldn't know where to put the snow that we shoveled out of the drive way. With all that said, it truely love winter and I don't really love summer. Cold winter and with lots of snow will probably be one of the thing i'll miss if I ever move to japan.
Unusual weather these years... lol, wonder what'd it be like if it snows 1ft in tokyo...
I live in Canada Our homes are made of that stuff, well covered in it. Nothing like free n perfect packing snow! Maybe a figure shoot in the snow??
never see actual natural snow >_< ey danny, this might be personal, did u write your name with pee in the snow ^^? hear some UK ppl do that
It snowed weeks ago, but it didn't last long. Mostly rain and wet snow most of the time. In our region, we rarely get snow now. Instead we get lot's of rain. Makes me miss the bright yellow summer sun right now=/ Rain+cold cloudy weather= down syndrome -o-
a pity for me since i didn't see snow during my stay at tokyo during comiket period.. though i didn't tons of them at hokkaido lol..
Nope, no snow here. An eternal summer, to be poetic, but to put it simply it's tropical here in Singapore. I've always wanted to be able to make snowmen and play with snow. With any luck, I might encounter some next year or something.
Well, we had some snow here in Vancouver, and some classes were even canceled due to it! It's always a pleasure to have snow around, I wish there were some right now! Then I could go run around and be happy!
I live in Canada, enough said.
i am currently in the mohave desert and with an annual rainfall avg. of 3 cm we never see snow.
snow here is not fall in singapore. :-( in related news. iraq is snowing! ^^, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cauHQ-TMwRM
I live in the northern end of the Sacramento valley in California we get snow here once every 5-10 or so. Never very much and it doesn't stick around for very long. While we didn't get any this year the city an hour north of here got several inches over the course of three or four storms but again it stick around for long.
Never ask a Canadian if it snows here, you'll just get an essay back. A really depressing and boring essay. But it seems so far that most people in to poll live in warmer areas. But I have half a metre of snow up here, I'm starting to miss summer and wishing it were warm here too. Funny thing is, I prefer winter over spring, spring is WAY too muddy from snow melting and the rain. So I want summer, but don't like the process of getting there, lol.
woah...ramen looks good. plus ramen on a cold day !
wow. looks beutiful + the ramen seems to look delicous
Lucky, I wish it would snow here, DAMN YOU GOD GIVING JAPAN ALL THE GOOD THINGS.
We is need snow here in Singapore.
Snow keeps coming down and sometimes melts every now and then only to be replaced by new fresh deep snow. Heck it was snowing awhile ago here. I know someone who hates it but I like to see the beauty of it when it falls down quietly and calmly, freshness of it.
Where I live in California (South Bay Area...NorCal) it's pretty mild and even though it can get reasonably cold here (like 30F lol) it never snows. It might snow every 25-50 years but not REAL snow, just some flakes that probably melt as soon as they touch the ground.
No snow where I live. Last time I've been in a snowy place was about 9 years ago...
a good hot warm dish together with good warm company is perfect for a cold day ^^
Ramen, oishii ne.
BAH! u call that snow falling?! i should take a picture of what it looks like outside my house....dear god. lol good ol' Canada
Looks great! I love snow - its my favourite weather - yes - even more than sunshine! Everything looks brighter, lighter and cleaner (something the UK needs!), and everywhere just seems more intresting on the senses as we dont get snow that often. I was hoping it would snow while i were in Tokyo over the new year, but alas, it didnt. Wish i were there - i'd love to see japan in the snow. It would remind me of the hauntingly beautiful snow scenes in Mamorou Oshii's Patlabor 2 film.
This year has been a banner year for snowfall here. It's been kind of crazy since it seems people have forgotten how to drive on the stuff though. Watching the snow fall is definitely one of the more relaxing things a person can do. Snowball fights can be fun too.
shiroi yuki ga daisuki da yo!!! too bad no snow in Malaysia. Temperature is 30s whole year round. Hot and humid, u sweat like buffalo and smell like saru.
It almost never snows here in Seattle but my parents live in Michigan and they get snowed in almost every winter.
I really wish snow would fall here in Socal even if it was once every however many years. I mean I like sunny socal, but so jealous of ppl who get snow.
Well I live in Alberta and We have snow since November sometimes since September/October. Great place for skiing.
when it snows where i currently live in, the end of the world is nigh.
In the last 2 years there wasn't any snow at all. But the last time I saw the snow I remember that there wasn't much of it
Damn it, why couldn't there be snow when I was Tokyo last month T_T Me love snow!!!(no snow in Southern California region)
I wish it would snow here in the UK. we got alot of sunny days now still kool^_^
That's some awesome snowy photos you have there, Danny. I love snow, especially since Singapore's summer 24/7 =(
Tokyo belongs in those parts of the globe where in summer is hot and humid and has snow on winter, same happens on States New England. Unfortunately it's extremely rare to snow here, last time it snowed was on January 2006 and before that it was 50 or 60 years ago. I've never seen a town or city filled with snow with my own eyes but traveling to other countries in snowy winters might be a little of a problem with the flight plan XD
that's a wonderful view of tokyo completely covered in snow *_*
The snow looks so pretty! Then again, after living in the UK for so long I've grown to hate snow. It makes walking to school a cold and slippery experience...
Wow, you seem so happy to have snow. I'm in South Dakota right now and would really like to see it go away. When the wind picks up, it is death outside. Snow: you only want it if you hadn't had it in a while. Still, Tokyo is beautiful in snow.
We've had 51 cm of snow in the past week in Toronto. If anyone wants to share in the joy of shoveling great mounds of snow you should move to Toronto.
i envy you even more now danny ;) a snowy tokyo sounds very nice indeed and the pics just proof it! i need a vacation!
holy crap that is genuis. Hot and Sour soup ramen! I love the soup but never thought of having it with noodles before lol. Nice pics...never lived in an area where it would snow. Wish I could experience that someday (living in an area that snows that is, I have experienced snow before). Preferably in Japan lol.
We got snow here... In Snow City... You get to pay money to play with snow, ain't that great? And is that Zoro in the fifth pic?
Snow.. Sure is nice.. We don't have any snow here where I live.. So..seeing/touching snow is one of my many wishes..
snow man look small. The snow's been falling heavy here, but I'm not really complaining!
No snow to speak of here this year. In fact, today its completely clear, sunny and even warm.
Lucky you. Where i live snow doesn't fall so i have never seen it in my life.
Same here, never seen a snow before. Wish one day I could experience the cold over there. ^^;;
