Itasha Show

Nihon Car has been heavily covering Tokyo Auto Salon where you can see the latest and greatest cars. But I personally prefer the Itasha car show held at the last comiket.
All these itasha can be found parked in the lot between Kokusai Tenjijo station and Big Sight.
Was the first time I got to see the cars first hand and am envious of the owners because my wife does not want our car plastered with stickers of Mirai-chan ^^;

I did do some research into the stickers and it costs 14,000 yen for a 500mm x 500mm weather proof sticker sheet - available for order from Palec.
This is my fave car with Pink Chu Chu girls - from the eroge Miraroma. Yum.

The next time you can see these itasha on show is at the next summer comiket. If you had to choose between going to Auto Salon and this itasha show, which would you choose?
First time here?
If you are new here, you may want to keep up with more of the same via RSS or Danny's other networks. (dont show again)

Yeah I like that on cars. But could not get away of putting Belldandy, Urd and Peroth on my truck here in New Mexico.

Love the Fate Testarossa car. If I ever do get a car I'll definitely get it plastered with some pictures. Somehow this post reminded me of one of the buses I saw at the recent Winter Comiket where there was a sign in the front saying "NICE BUS".

Yeah, that Nanoha Itasha is defnitely a winner. Seems it's the same one from the Itasha post.

But I really liked the mix between anime characters and graphite/grey paint.

I'd love to do something like that to my car... if only I cared much for my car.

I'm not very passionate about cars... for me it isn't a lot more than just a mean to get from point a to b faster than on foot, and more conveniently than taking a bus...

Question: they let you go inside? I notice one of the pics was taken from the inside.

I loved the Fate Testarosa one. Perfect color car for the sticker. I even found myself looking at one of the other Nanoha ones going "I have that figure" as I looked at the dashboard ^_^

I probably would not get a sticker like that for my car mainly because we have some harsh winters and I'd fear for it's safety

Of course the Itasha show, hands down.

I notice that all the cars with Nanoha take up almost 70% of the number of photos shown. Is Nanoha that famous? Not that I'm complaning-they're oozing Awesomeness ^_^

I particularly like the one with the SD Hayate and Rein, or the one with the Nanoha/Lucky Star combination.

I'm surprised, though, at the amount of Nanoha cars. I was hoping for one based on a Key game, but seems that there's none. Meh.

While some of them looked good a lot more looked like a mishmash of ideas and stickers and didn't look good at all. Of course I'm more interested in the cars than the images in the first place so I wouldn't do that to my own car. It would be cool maybe on a race car as a sponsership deal amd was made up to look really good. That would be interesting to see a JGTC car made up with anime/manga images.

Some hits but moar misses.

If you wanna have an itasha, at least have abit of sensibility by having the stickers/decals pasted tastefully.

Random sticker/decal pasting on a car is going to 1) Look ugly (no need to explain) and 2) Spoils the aesthetic of the original car's design (imagine the horrors of designers seeing their work of art being well, sticker-ed)

But of course declaring your love for all things anime is another issue... ^^;

Holy friggin crap! Itasha Show? I never heard of this until today and i had a feeling cars like this existed somewhere in the world.

I love Tuned cars. RX-7's, Skyline's, Supra's, Celica's, MR-2's, etc, etc, etc.

But that Mercedez i saw in the Itasha Show has got to go. I'm not a fan of German automobile's. Any Japanese automobile's are fine with me.

I think you have to be a hardcore otaku and a tuned car fan to have one of these. I'd love to have one of these cars myself someday.

At the moment i want a 1994 Nissan Skyline or a 98/2003 Nissan Skyline, M-Spec or V-Spec RIGHT HAND drive. Since no one here in Los Anegeles has one.

Thanks for these wonderful pictures Dannychoo. This sure is eyecandy for me.

From all the photos I liked the grey Fate Testarossa Nissan 240SX most, the few big vinyls of Fate on the outside give a good balance, but the inside is still too messy for my liking.

Personally, I'd go for the Auto Salon, but it was R35 heavy this year so this is a nice change of pace to the whole mod scene.

How do they manage to get that on their cars?? Do they have special paint shops that do it? I'm just amazed at it =D

Danny, OK so we know where you can get the decals for the cars, but where did they get those seat covers?

Those look like dakimakura actually because they are not tight fitting like most seat covers.

Ok need to somehow combine the nanoha cars with fate cars and add in Rin and Miku. I know what I am going to do with my car once I go to Japan. I won't feel embarassed driving it either. In the USA it would get vandalized or destroyed fast but in Japan it would be a lot safer.

I sooooooo want to go to an Itasha show. But I have no idea when and where there are happening. Is there a website that lists the upcoming shows and where theregoing to be? Thanks.
