I'd hope that as grown men watching cartoons and collecting plastic dolls, we'd be open to other people having their own interests; whether they excite or repulse us is irrelevant (and I'll admit I've been craving a go at a vac-bed for quite some time). Whether it is abusive teachers, pedophiles, or fetishes I doubt very seriously if Japan is significantly worse than other modern societies. It's like forming a judgment of another society based on the "News of the Weird" section of their newspapers. Does the rest of the world believe all Americans are uneducated fools based on our leaderships inability to speak intelligently in public; or that all American churches are homes to pedophile priests?

I once read a story at school. It was about a guy, who thought his life was boring. Long story short, he met a man who thought like him and they took a boat and saided to the middle of a lake. They made a hole in the boat and it sank. Now they both tried to reach the short and once the main character reached the shore, he didn't know if the other guy made it. He returned to his normal life, which wasn't boring anymore because he never figured out if the other guy survived. Did this answer your question?

LOL, very weird stuff. But for people thinking only Japan has strange fetishes... think again. I think the only thing that's different is that Japan is more open to things like that. Like, you can read about them on news and stuff. Western countries has lots of weird fetishes too... some FAR FAR FAR FAAAARRRRR worse than those... I wish I didn't know about them, but unfortunately I do. :P
