Due out next Feb is this 1/7 scale figure of Shunya Yamashita-sensei's illustration "Petra." The sculptor is Modeller T and hes just given me the green light to share these pics with you.

Saw the illustration for this back in May when I met up with Modeler T but had to keep my lips sealed until now ^^;
As you can see from one of the photos, the figure is cast-offable too. I'm afraid that the nosebleed function doesn't work with non-gallery posts orz.

    Sweet! Another figure to add to my Shunya collection. I absolutely love his drawings, any of them would translate to great figures. I'm really pleased with the ones they've made so far.

    I would have to say atm Cocono is my favorite. I love hot girls in armor with big swords.

    chun, I believe that the hardest part for a sculptor is to bring the character to life. The facial expression requires the highest amount of energy (compared to the pose or clothing) because there are so many fine details to take into account and respect.

    Just think of any drawing of a character... The line between success and failure is very thin and things like eyes (the upper ones) can be screwed up easily, even if it's only a matter of half-millimeters (trust me, I used to draw a bit too in my spare time, even if I'm still at "novice level"). Making it into 3D is even more difficult and I guess you can see the rest of my point. ;)
    (By the way, I should go for drawings again since I got much spare time now)

    D_Blade oh don't be mistaken that I am dissing the hard work of the model/figurine :P I just felt that it doesn't look as close to the CG art which I personally preferred the style of :) And I know it is very difficult to make it an exact match ^^;
