Nendoroid Petit

Next up from the Good Smile offices are the up n coming Nendoroid Petit series. These are just sooo cute.
Folks in Japan can get these at all Circle K convenient stores from the 22nd of November and should be available everywhere else during the second week of December. Each costs 500 yen.
Mikuru is my fave - awesomely cute and going in the car.
There are two different variations of each character. Yuki has removable cloak, hat and wand.
All characters are articulated to a certain extent. None of the parts are glued which has enabled Good Smile to keep production costs low while delivering incredibly good quality considering these are trading figures.

Haruhi looks good in Kyons uniform.
The cheerleader Haruhi is the secret one - not sure if I'm allowed to upload this one ^^;
The hair and face can be taken apart and placed on different characters - which is what I done for the cheerleader Haruhi.
The obligatory kyon-on-female-body shots.
Small and incredible cute - if these were edible then they'd be gone in no time.

I've had a few conversations with folks about the Nendoroid series who tell me that they really don't like the super deformed style - are these up your alley or you prefer the standard scale PVCs?
You can also make up School Days dioramas too.

Nendoroids are not my kinda thing. i prefer standard scale PVC preferably in 1/7 or 1/8 scale, 1/6 is too big. biggest one i have is the 1/4 freeing haruhi bunny girl.

I'm normally not a fan of super-deformed PVCs, but the recent Nendroid pictures I've seen have almost always been really neat.

I don't know why I like them more than most SD PVCs, but... I do.

First I wanted this petit set because of Tsuruya-san playing the zombie (that the one I wanted the most), but since she will have the same pose in her "normal" nendoroid figure, I canceled my order for petit nendoroid. Won't by any of them, but still fond of bigger nendo ^^

Hey Danny! Don't tease us with this otaku.fm in background! Tell us more!! Quick! j/k ^^;

I think these are adorable, you're more likely to buy one of these even if it's not your favourite series.
For eg. I don't particularly like Death Note that much, but I was seriously thinking of buying 1 or 2 figurines (haven't bought any yet!). It's a good introduction to a new series or fandom if you like the characters :3

I voted for Kyon since he's the only one not available in normal Nendoroid. Psst Danny... while you're at GSC's office tell them people want Kyon Nendoroid! "Yare yare..."

Though I do like Yuki in witch's hat too. It'd be a good pair for the Max Factory version.

Question is... should I order this or not?? I'm so limited after my big Voltes V purchase -_-

Since I can only get figures like that for 10 times (or more) the price, I'd only get one if there was a Churuya-san version.

But I'm still getting that Yuki swimsuit model. I'll find a way. :P

Nice!

I wasnt that keen on these at first, as i thought the regular 'proper' nendoroids looked better and were a nicer size, but for 500 yen, ill definately wanna pick up some of these. Love the Mikuru one, though im hoping to get the regular nendoroid version of her as well.

Forgot to mention, Mikuru's actually my favourite character but I really like Haruhi's character design, so I'd buy Haruhi first. Sorry Mikuru~ ;_;
+1 vote for Haruhi =D

Wow, 500 Yen! When converted, it's only 3.10 Euro. ^^ I like them all, except Tsuruya is a bit hmmm. But if I had to choose one, I would choose Yuki.

I really wanted to buy the Exia Gundam when I saw it on sale at Amazon.co.jp. Then I got sad when it said no international shipping. >_<
Danny, have you recommended any good sites to order Gundam from in the past? I know you have side links promoting Nemokid and stuff. I ordered a Suzumiya Haruhi from them. It was kind of expensive.

I like them all. But they kinda remind me of the gatchapon from haruhi, they also had a kind of big head, but you couldn't take them apart. So I definitely want some of them ;p
You probably can get full sets for a bit higher price.

I've wanted Nendoroids for a while, but regular sized figures always find their way onto my cart before them ^^; I do enjoy the style, and hopefully when these Petit things start showing up I'll pop one or two onto my list. They're just the right price!

Do you have a picture comparing regular Nendoroid to Petit?

I tend to prefer normal sized PVCs. I do go for the occasional nendoroid, but the problem with them is that the heads are too heavy most of the time which makes the figure hard to stand up.

If they make a full size Nendoroid Kyon (I doubt they would, but one can hope ._.), getting all the full size Haruhi Nendoroids would basically be the same thing as having the whole petit collection except bigger and better XD I guess Kyon is the gimmick for this line.

I like Petit Nendoroids a lot. It's an economical way to buy all your favorite popular characters! My only problem with this set is they made the character pairs too alike.

After getting the regular nendoroids, I was highly reluctant to acquire these "rip offs" (even though they are from the same company ^^U) because of the size, lack of accesories and minimal paint job.

That was before I got a Kyon and Mikuru, they are bloody incredibly cute O_o The size and weight makes it no problem to keep them on their stands (something I suffered with the big ones, especially Light and Haruhi). Since they are cheap I don't hyper-ventilate if anything happens to them and they are very portable ^^ I'll follow your example of pose them for pictures of food and such whem I'm out.

Only complain I have is that even though they are the equivalent of $5 in Japan, I had to get them for $11 in USA.
