Kureha

The addition of Kureha in my collection has made it a little bit more easy to decide what figure to grab in the event of an earthquake.
After half a year of waiting, the gorgeous Kureha is now in my possession.
Not too much to add as the pictures pretty much speak for themselves. The sculpt work and paint job is simply amazing.
Her eyes (both pairs) look utterly scrumptious and the way she is standing is just so moe.
I personally think she turned out looking cuter than the original Tony Taka illustration. Her expression kinda takes your breath away does it not?
Nearly forgot to mention that I stuck two photos from this post in the wallpaper pool - go make any size you want.
Sorry to dissapoint but you wont be seeing any Bukakke photos of Kureha here.
You can order at your fave online dealer
  • HobbyLink Japan
  • Anime USA
  • Kid Nemo Company
  • J List
  • Amazon
  • Or set up an Amazon Associates account and order through your own aStore - learn how.
  • Thanks to MAX Watanabe and GOODSMILE for this most gorgeous offering.
I could go as far as to say that this is the most scrumptious figure I have had the pleasure of feasting my mince pies on.
The bow is a bit fragile so don't throw her about the room.
Hypnotic eyes (all four of em).
Its like shes looking at you for an answer to something.
The kink in her leg is moesome.
    Obligatory pantsu shot.
    Gorgeous legs.
    Looks great on the desk.

I really love the Obligatory pantsu shot. The background for it is awesome!

Kureha's should be arriving in a day or two for me ^^; Will do a different photoshoot then before!

I think shes got one of the best sculpts and face ive ever seen, but shes not the best overall ive seen. Theres just something about it that doesnt make me go 'wooooooww'.
Those giant sleeves kinda put me off for some reason.

I just cant look at her the same way after seeing those bukkake pics!!

Nice figure anyway - glad you have a new fave. Ive always wondered what your fave figure was...

    Which was it BEFORE this?

It's a very nice figure Danny! I especially like those shots facing the sun. Speaking of earthquakes and natural disasters, some areas of Southern California where I live are currently burning due to numerous wildfires, one of which was arson. I would take this one with me too if I had one.

Nice looking figure, but for some reason it just doesn't do it for me anymore. I still remember seeing the early shots of it and i was like blown away. In a "WOW what pretty looking figure :D". Not saying the figure sucks. It still definitely looks nice, but I think I might have gotten bored of it. !?

Wah. Sugoi~ :) She's just amazing *.*. When she arrived for me over here and I took her out of the box, I thought to myself the previous promo pictures didn't do her any justice. Just wow, so pretty x.x; I may have to get another one to have a pristine one in the box as the other is on display :o.

ahh, beauty made 3D. I agree with you danny, this figure is definitly my favorite figure bought to date. Mine just shipped from hlj.com, so hopefully I'll be gettin mine sooner rather than later. my Kureha won't be disgraced with the bukkake treatment, she'll be staying dust-free in my glass case....or will she be right beside by mac...or in my hands 24/7...i dunno, lol, but she'll be safe from little soldiers, that's for sure.

I want one, but I've never ordered figures before. Where is the best place to order from for those of us living in the US.

I can't understand Japanese, so I am not sure what amazon site says. None of the other sites seem to have it in stock. It seems I can preorder them from Toy Logic or Kid Nemo, but I am not sure why they are different scale 1/6 & 1/7 different release date too. Are they different versions?

I've also heard that you might have to pay import fees. I've never actually had to pay any thus far(on the few occasions I've ordered stuff from abroad), so could anyone tell me how much import fees are and how you pay them?

Thanks if anyone is nice enough to answer all these questions.

@don, From what retailer you order is a mater of preference. I personal buy most of my figures through HobbyLink Japan (HLJ), but you won't be disappointed if you order from Kid Nemo or such.

Don't worry about Amazon. Amazon will not ship this outside of Japan.

In some countries you may end up paying import fees. I personal have never had to pay or known of anyone in the states who paid import fees.

There are other figures of Kureha out there too. This figure is 1/6.

Just make sure you order from a legitimate retailer. Any of the retailers you see on Danny's site can be trusted. If you are not sure about a retailer, ask and I'm sure someone can give you feedback.

Well, thanks for joining the ranks of Kureha owners!

I received mine last week, as you should know if you read my blurb under each post, and the puchi thing when I posted it last week.

When I got it out, I held her so gently. She really needed to be held with kid gloves, as she is the epitome of cute/sexy figures. I had no problems with installing the bow, and found the whole cast-off very easy (btw, long peg inside the torso, eh? ^^).

I won't really get into too many details here, but this figure is my baby now, and will also never get given such rotten treatment as in that other thread!

I want to let anyone who wants to know that putting the bow in can be difficult, but it actually threads through a spot in her hair (while making sure the wire stays outside of the hair) and there are two posts (one in the hand and one on the upper arm). It manages to fit perfectly.
    By the way, great site.

    Danny,

Extremely good recommendation. After checking out your pics.....it makes my hands itch as well to get hold of Kureha too.

I have already located where i can get hold of her already and planning to go to the outlet soon to pick her up.

Definitely a nice figure to add to my collection.

    Good stuff.

I'm not sure if anyone else notice this but you positioned the bow incorrectly. Thats why the bow seems fragile. You need to have the bow pass through her hair, her hair has a gap.

Well, despite that, the bow simply is fragile (careful with the wire). Now just to find a high-up place to put her, as she's kinda looking down on you

I just received this 1/7 Kureha figure last Friday. Unfortunately, I've had rather high expectation and the "inconsistencies" of paint job, particularly around the neck and chest regions annoy me. For the price I paid, I would expect MaxFactory to have a better quality control. Nevertheless, overall, this figure remains the most gorgeous one in my collection.

It is indeed expensive, found one for 17,000 yen... damn those people who bought this only to sell this for marked-up price...

But well, some doesn't mind to spend their money... so maybe those who are damn rich enough would actually appreciate these people who "hold on" to their item before they have the chance to buy it... lol.

It's a very beautiful figure and I would most definitely love to have one. But, in my current situation, maintenance and overall well-being would be difficult to maintain. And it would seem someone wrong to simply let her fall by the wayside.

Maybe one day, I can devote serious time towards developing a serious figure collection.

I'm noticing a lot of female archers. This upsets me because as a writer type wannabe I've been working on an anime script about an archer, female, uggh. I'd had no idea my idea was being stolen so much. But not really, I am original to the core. Is Miyazaki-san reading? Gimme a call dad, I got the perfect story. Domo.

So what drama or story or what is she associated with?

    Thanks
