Not sure if this is common knowledge outside of Japan but apart from cool gadgets, Panasonic also make houses over here.

I was first told about this when I was back in the UK. Only having knowledge of the Panasonic electrical gadgets, I was most surprised to hear that they made houses too.

So what type of house would that be then? check out the video at youtube - the video has embedding disabled for some reason. Me would love to live in a house like that.
And before I forget - you can check out the Panahome page to see that they also do refurbishment and other real estate related activities.

It's a new feature that youtube just implemented. They call it the video identification block to prevent copyright material from appearing and spreading on the site.

Was in the news ^^;

Houses? More like mansions!
Nice, I'd gladly live on one of those for the rest of my life. :P

Video works.

I'd love to live in a semi-automatized house like that.

Panasonic is one of my favorite brands in terms of technology since Sony's major reputation loss. I would trust them fully.

Panasonic, Daewoo, Mitsubishi and brands like that have many sectors of various activity, so I'm half surprised here (I'd never have guessed Pana would build and furnish houses).

Panasonic is like my favorite brand too! :) I have 3 of their cameras - Lumix FZ4, FX01 and FZ50. Danny, you should give their cameras a try, that Leica Opitical Image Stablized lens is quite something!

I wouldn't want to live in that kind of house though... may be it's b'coz I'm getting old or something, but I'm starting to reminiscent the old times (old being late 70's and early 80's, when I was growing up.) I guess if I could redesign that house, I would keep the high tech / environmentally friendly stuff underneath but make the exterior look like authentic traditional Japanese household items and furniture.

あと、トヨタホームとか。

本業以外の所で関連会社をポコポコ作るのは、戦前から続く日本企業の悪い癖だと思う。まぁ財閥とか隣の韓国にも有るみたいだけど。

I'm not at all surprised since in Korea, Samsung/LG make condos (or should i say mansions hehe) with the ever-famous samsung/LG logo printed on the side.

Imagine: you can work for Samsung, have a samsung TV, fridge, laptop, a/c, cell phone, mp3, drive a samsung and live in Samsung condo. Talk about brand loyalty.
