This commercial was just so damn annoying. It shows a girl talking about how she used to cause trouble for her Senpai (senior colleague) just by wearing glasses. She says that she just had to do something about it and getting contact lenses enabled the "real her" to "debut."
There's another commercial that I cant find where all her friends are laughing at her - so she goes and gets contact lenses to make them happy.

There is no problem with wearing glasses, some choices that girls make are rather unfortunate and don't fit their face but no reason to ridicule them. What is getting popular here now is lenses that have a coloured rim, to get the puppy dog eye effect.

i've noticed those lenses on a cosplay pic somewhere on this site. i couldnt help think that it's about time!(and then i wet myself) the lens also had light and dark sides to it. it made the cosplayer that much more adorable! ...anybody got any pics of this new trend?

Sorry to disagree on this one, but I definitely prefer girl with no glasses. People aren't born with pieces of rounded metal hanging from their faces, so the reasoning is pretty obvious. I, myself, have been told by men and women alike how much better I look now after having eye surgery to correct my vision.

Girls wearing glasses are cute but I personally prefer girls without glasses. I'm wearing glasses as I type and I know how bothersome they can be, though contacts too have their disadvantage. Both are good and bad, it depends on what you prefer for what activity when deciding which to wear.

I don't want to be radical on this. There are girls that looks better with glasses, and girls that looks better without them. The girls Danny posted will probably look good with or without, doesn't matter. As for who's using them... for some, it's more confortable to use lenses than glasses. I use glasses. I'd use lenses but I think my eyes are kinda too sensitive. I have high pressure on my eyes, and they get irritated pretty easily due to the medicine I have to take everyday to lower that pressure. About the ad, it's just plain wrong and stupid.

Ooh, that last girl looks really good with those glasses. I don't have a problem if a girl wears glasses or not, as long as they're not glasses from the '70s or '80s (those über big glasses which make you wonder if the nose likes to look through the glasses as well XD). ^^

My fiancee wears glasses. Need I say more? ^o^ Sometimes she wears contacts depending on the activity. Those of who wear glasses know how darn unpractical they are at times. It just really depends on the person's face. Like what some of the users have said already. Some people look better with glasses and some don't. All the girls that Danny have posted look good either way. Anyway Gakki in the last pic look very cute with the glasses.=)

Unfortunately, most of you are wrong. Glasses would eventually mold into your faces if you wear them long enough. If you wore your glasses for about 5ish years, you're going to look slightly odd with contacts. I've worn glasses pretty much all my life, and now I can't stand how I look without them. I may eventually get laser eye surgery for some more permanent correction. Glasses are pretty stylish nowadays. Why do you think wearing sunglasses is a symbol of cool?

I wear glasses too....some days I alternate with lenses...they give some kind of freedom of sight a strange kind of " I'm part of the flock " feeling.....but then again I cannot get rid of my glasses...it's just me ...I grew some kind of relationship with them throughout all those years. Concerning girls with glasses....mmmmhhhh it gives them that extra misterious look " is she a sweety or a disguised demon ????? " ...love it ;)

I like gals with glasses. I have no particular attraction to them, but i dont find them off-putting at all. I cant stand wearing glasses though, so i can sorta ephasise what these adverts are saying. I wear contact lenses whenever im out of the house. Seems a bit cruel making an advert where all her friends are laughing at her though!

Yes, they are indeed cute... Hmm, I'm not into meganekko because I wear glasses already and I would like to get LASIK treatment in a few years (wearing glasses since the age of... two or three -insert "?!" here- is quite annoying but at the same time I am used to it). And the thing is that I can't wear contact lenses (too much a chore, rather dry eyes and my eyes are rather small). For once there is no confusion between eyes and "eyes" in a post, I am rather positively surprised. If I may say. ^_^

Japanese girls + Very Long + Glasses = heart attack lol i have the hots for girls with stupidly long hair, not saying that i dont like girls with shorter hair. in fact i dont mind at all! but personally, if i could choose id have a gurl whose hair is passed her ass! but part way down the back is alright also but loses points in 'playability' :P yes i know im sad. but hey if you have to spend all eternity with somebody you love, might aswell make it for the right reasons :P

Crazy that you should write on this topic as just the other day I was musing about getting contacts. Mainly because I'd like to try them. But I think girls with glasses are cute to and I love mine at times... but there are other times glasses can be a pain. So I'll probably get some new frames too. It bugs me that they'd be making commercials that turn glasses wearing girls in to losers.

I personally love glasses-wearing girls. Either way is fine, but glasses really don't turn me away. For me, I must wear glasses. I can never wear contacts, as they will destroy my eyesight, as will laser surgery. So, I'm stuck with glasses, but it's no great loss. Especially now I have a new pair to finalise payments on! ^_^
