Its that guy from battle royale in the first video, whats his name?
ah ... now i am dam scared ... can't sleep ..
"Beat" Takeshi Kitano http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takeshi_Kitano
Now that is a creepy picture. Also the one n the last video clip was kinda cool. Though I've no clue what they were talking about.
I've never regreted reading dannychoo except this once... man...I'm...scared....on my right side is a windows with "who knows" what's there.... OMG (T^T)
Dead Snake: It's me beside your window, bwahahahaha. Danny, have you ever thought about adding a forum?
I don't really unsderstand the last video can somebody tell what's going on?
it's timely this post came up cos over here in singapore the chinese ghost festival just ended. check it the link below for those interested. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_Festival
No Photoshop, but there's always multiple exposure.
Uh, ok. Fair enough...
Im home alone now, so I won't watch it until my wife comes home...T T But I like to watch these photos or clips, just by myself...
wooooooo~~~ very nice post :D
those pictures are really interesting , as i'm a photographer myself , kinda amazed by those photographs, maybe i'll get myself a flim camera... :P
i think that ghosts that appear on photos with a blurred face tends to be true ghosts while the ones with sharp, clear face might not be. My friends who saw ghosts before say that they saw a rather blurred face. but i could also be wrong..take note.. God knows~~ PS: my hair stood when i watch teh 3rd video. especially, the one with the girl who committed suicide and appears in the photo. I had trouble going to the toilet as well..scary...honto...other than that, the other photos could either be photoshopped..

Most of these look like mistakes in camera operation to me. Double exposure, reflecting lights, the worker at the local film development store having fun...
i think i just pissed myself
I don't know about being freaked out by pictures but when i saw live video of "spirits" shown by another Japanese show, I was a little freaked out.
Lol at the last video. the photo of the "ghost" looks like it was just glued onto the picture. Didn't understand the audience one bit whether they were scared or laughing or whatever. heheh XD
i've do ever have doppleganger phenomenon in my own house and school. my brother half naked(he wear long pants) go to the warehouse. back then our playstation are in the warehouse(my house are combined to my warehouse), so i thought he went to play. but when i realize, i saw my brother was studying with his private teacher in his room. so who was going to the warehouse?, my father using a shirt when i tell my brother is playing in the warehouse in school i have a friend, i usually ask him if i stuck in my study. someday, i ask him how to solve some of study in the class. and after that i don't see him anymore for that day. when i have to work in group, i didn't saw him, and when i ask to other friend, they said my smart friend never came that day, he got sick or something. kinda used to doppleganger's
and i somehow feel there is another presence in my own house, kinda thinking there's some "i don't know who "guys in my ceiling. sorry if this gross. i find a poo in my toilet and i had that for somehow 3 day straight. that could be a mechanical problem. when i ask to my family, they said they never had dropping in my toilet. so who the hell use it without flushing it? i just coming home from school when i saw the dropping. when i think about that, it could be some guy living somewhere in my house. when he had to drop he drop it in my toilet and not flush it so he will never be discovered. never found that guy, and the random poo occurence is stop for now though
I don't, but my mom senses strange things... (or she could just be crazy) at least the disappearance of body parts isn't that bad... I hate the one's where you actually see someone.. That is scary... But yea, I don't want to see a ghost, unless the ghost is like Kanata (Kona-chan's mom)
I'm kinda skeptical, so bare with me. Though Photoshop is something kinda new, the process altering photos is rather old... almost as old as taking photos itself. Needed some skills to get the thing believable, but not as hard as some people thinks. Also, like another commenter already said, lots of those can be explained because of technical problems that could've happened while taking photos or revealing them. Anyways, I always find it interesting the way japanese culture mixes technology and science with their myths and legends. Kinda unique.
This reminds me of the game Fatal Frame...

Bricks were shat. But isnt these ghost thingie quite common in asia. And if ya guys notice, theres always a huge difference between American an Asian ghosts. Guess they also have antionality, haha oh wow.. But Thai's and Indonesian ghost creeps the shit outa me :O
One thing I find interesting is how the Japanese are so obsessed with ghosts (fear of death) and especially with Tamiya Oiwa any time they something like her they get frightened. I've never seen a ghost but me and my family felt one a few weeks after my grandfather passed away last year, strangely me and my father felt it on the same day like someone touched my hair and pulled my father shirt. Ghosts are not evil by nature only spirits are (some of them).
Whoa
Keepin' it real fake.. Guys, I don't want to spoil the fun, I haven't watched the videos except for the last one... but that one is obviously not a real ghost. Look at it closely. It's the head of a mannequin reflected in a window, which in turn got reflected onto the lens of the camera. Stranger things have happened. The size of the head, the sharpness.. it's just not right. For me though, I DO believe in ghosts or something unexplainable like ghosts. As a kid, I think I may have seen one.
@FEARtactics, that game freaked me out too! hahaha, I wasn't able to finish it. For me, Asian horror is much scarier than Western horror. Haven't seen any ghosts. Should something happen to negate that statement, I'll just think like an anime character to face it.. pray for courage.. or faint before thinking of anything at all.
great!!... now i have 3 things that scare me ╤_╤ ....
I may be too much of a sceptical but these photos look to me like multiple exposures or longer shuttertimes which caused blurring. I am sure there are unexplained phenomena out there these photos however are not part of them. The reaction of the audience seems a bit OTT.
Nah...I don't believe in this crap. In fact, I already know how this is done in photography. However, I think I'll keep quiet so you guys can have something to believe in. It's all a light trick.

Well actually ghost are just demons that might see doing something nice as beneficial, because they want to get you distracted from the saving power of Jesus Christ. so...if it will change something a demon will either scare or help you...
the alst one reminds me of the power of photoshop -.-" dun see one, never seen onem but it'd be nice to see one but it's be better to see youkai ^^ a kappa would be nice especially like the one in airantou where meimei comes with the kapaa ^^
SO uh..in the last video, what exactly are they trying to prove with the slowdown/speedup of the image of the ghost? The audience was screaming but I see nothing.
Entertaining, thanks. Takeshi Kitano himself looks kinda spooky in the shows.
ghost movies that make scare the s-ht out of me is the grudge, didn't see the 2 yet that movie make me can't sleep for a month! the ghost in the towel, and hand in the head sequence is just.... scary
hendrik, sound to me you have a defective bowl siphon.
seriously i doubtly those ghost from those show are real, i mean most of all looks fake, some i think real.. But if for japanese ghost "movie", i quite bored with those storyline & how those ghost looks like, & majority of the ghost are really good crawler.

>>Have no idea why I decided to write about this subject but I hope its not because I unconsciously saw one. Perhaps Danny watched a recent episode of Lucky Star and just doesn't recall?
it seems i have had seen some during some variety show in my country..
Quite scary~ But too bad I don't understand Japanese, so I couldn't understand anything being said, but seeing all the photos is quite scary enough. In the last video, I suppose the slow-mo of the photo is to show that the 'ghost' in the photo actually 'blinks' its eye for one frame? Anyway, thank Danny for the links (and spooks) ^^
Pretty creepy. I've seen my fair share of "ghosts" and even lived in a supposedly haunted house, but I no longer believe in paranormal phenomena and attribute any sightings to hallucinations or tricks of light - better for my sanity that way ^^;;
I like hearing about paranormal stuff, so of course this post interested me a lot. To tell the truth, I think I saw a ghost once in my life. It was many years ago, when I visited my aunt. While I was half-asleep, half-conscious, I saw a white mist with a vaguely human form near the window. This spooked me out completely. My mother told me that it would probably be the guardian spirit of the house and that it was benevolent... I hope so. Returning to the main discussion, the video that struck me the most was the first one, with the ghost in the public bath. I am not impressed at all by the one with the floating girl (I tend to consider real ghosts appearing blurry on pictures, otherwise they would be fairly common). I am glad my culture (Asian) respects the afterlife, the spiritual dimension and unnatural events, because what science can't explain could be related to life and death themselves.

I believe this is when girls go, "Kyaaaaaaa!!" and guys go, "AAAAAAAHH!" Now get this post off the front page. I'm having nightmares.

Sorry for double posting but forgot to post this... Anyone heard about the story where people were watching a show on TV with young children? People saw one of the boys crying blood then called in to complain about it but the crew and some other people said they never saw anything. Gives me the chills @_@
i've never seen a ghost before but I truly wish someday i'd be able to communicate with one freely in conversation or at least see one when people tell stories of how other people say ghosts and all that crap i don't really believe them.. but I do believe in poltergeists..

Ive seen a lot of ghosts before when i was younger. The worst one was when i saw a guy wearing an old Filipino formal wear (Barong), hovering outside the my room's window in my grandparent's house. I always kept my bedroom's windows closed in the evenings since. A couple of years ago, i was hanging out in the rooftop of a 31 story condominium i lived in when i saw a long haired woman wearing a nightgown floating above the swimming pool. it was weird because her movement was like a drifting baloon and she was very still. and somehow even at looking at her straight, my eyes cant see her face. its like as if my mind is blocking me from seeing what her face looks like. Ive experienced a lot of ghosts before, but these two are the ones that i have really got the opportunity to look at, straight on.
wow, philipines got a load of ghost eh? in indonesia most of the ghost are... well usually raped dead woman/girl i heard from some ppl there's an accident where a motor rider died while still equip the helm and his brain is vanish from its head. the story is "terowongan casablanca" or casablanca tunnel
Jejeje, vey odd stuff, now I understand how they make so good horror movies... But it look like... visual effects in many of them, a fake, you know I mean.

Hendrik, I stayed 2 years in Jakarta and had a lot of ghastly experiences though like in: House in Sunter - loud noises in the roof every late night, but theres nothing there. Feeling of being watched by a lot of people in when inside the toilet. and a girl suddenly walked into the middle of the living room, filled with a few people, from the kitchen, then disappeared suddenly. I screamed at the last one, cussing. Condominium in Taman Anggrek (the one on top of the mall) - while watching TV, i would see reflections of people walking across in front of me on the glass table just in front of the TV. While inside a room, all alone in the condo unit, a figure of a long haired skinny girl, wearing white shirt and green adidas jogging pants, walked across the door exit. She definitely looked chinese.
I personally don't give a damn about ghosts whether they exist or not. Interesting to note that Shinrei Shashin (心霊写真) is transcribed as Shimryong Shajin (심령 사진) in korean. Means the same thing and sounds almost the same.

Some people said, those wandering spirits are everywhere, but then, only few people able to sense and see them. In my country, it called "mata batin" or something. Something like sixth sense (hendrik, you might have it too). One of my friend has it, and sometimes she felt uneasy even though nothing happened. When I ask her, she said that she felt and saw some 'presence'near us. Some paranormal in Indonesia claim that they can open one's sixth sense, so they can see ghosts and stuff. I personally don't want to do that. And yes, here in Indonesia Ghosts and myths were popular. few years before, every TV station has at least one "mystery show",...where the ghosts were the main star...
yaaaaaa!!!! that was re... really scary dude, the little kid seating by the tv AND THE BIG OL' FACE ON THE TV, maaaannn i sleep in front of the TV i don't think i'll get any sleep O.O :S
Hey Danny, where's the maybe for the polls? I think I saw a ghost a ghost before with my younger brother... We were little then and we thought we saw someone without legs... floating... So, yea... I think I would like to see ghosts but not right now, until I'm ready and be a man...
@PoWeR Can I know the other two things that scare you? LOL
-_- Thats sad..Being a ghost in the human world and no one can see you.I would be depressed.I would be..Lonley =[
