One of the most interesting games I spotted at the Comike - could this be the Idol Master killer?

TimeLeap is an eroge to be released by Front Wing this December for Windows - the same company that brought us Fauna in Megachu and Kimihagu.

Apart from the usual naughtiness, the girls are rendered in 3D and you can see them dancing around in maid and school outfits below. This is another reason to install Parallels on my MBP.
Above: The Timeleap girls in school uniform - cute!
Above:Timeleap girls in maid outfits - yum!

Above: And to remind you what Idol Master looks like on the XBOX360.

I though it was a SchoolMate clone.. but when I saw the videos, it's actually pretty good stuff. I wonder what can you do in the ero-parts ;-)

    Another reason to install a eroge ^^;

    Time to download the demo!

Wow! Good catch Danny. I misseed this game during natsucomi. Looks great ("moe shock level 8,5"), it's a shame that there is only the benchmark on the TimeLeap Site!

Wow, those animations and renderings look really good (in both games). Most probably motion capture I guess.
But I like the animation of Time Leap better, the shading is done a little bit different. Just a detail, but I like the fact that the camera moves with the characters and isn't just standing still in one angle.
    I think I'll try that demo ;p

I could swear that's Itou Shizuka as Ayumu, but probably under a pseudonym. Can't say if she's also doing the singing.

Also the camera jerks around so much, it makes me dizzy. It's like they're filming an earthquake.

I'm for both games. I love this stuff. We need more of this in America. My xbox 360 needs this game.

I still prefer Idol Master. It have beautiful and smooth animation, good songs and lovely characters.

Do anyone know will it ever be released in english? Though if it will be released, songs probably will be translated and they will get english singers to sing them. >_< Horrible...

really nice graphics for both --> no more rough corners --> not as visual lol
but i say idolmaster... timeleap's action are too "unrealistic" while idolmaster's is more realistic although its a lot slower...

i sense a disturbance in the otaku-world. Its as if a million Idolmaster fanboys just screamed and then...silence. Anyways, this is awesome.

    it looks great
i would want to play both
i think graphic wise probably TimeLeap is better but the mouth movement is pretty bad.
I wonder how good are the other songs will be

looks interesting and the characters are similarly cute to Idolm@aster

is this game developed by an independent game developer or some small-medium game enterprise?

I'm wary of saying it's an IdolM@ster killer--the last time I've heard this, the first KillZone was hardly everything I expected it to be against Halo.

Plus, it's an Ero-game, so the potential market is smaller than that of IM@S. And do remember that IdolM@ster has had a much longer development time (if you consider the arcade versions, which were pretty rough way back when).

I'm not TOO impressed. The designs look good, but the music isn't as good IMO.

Also, the graphical fidelity of Idolmaster is still higher and higher def and it runs at a faster framerate, etc etc.

    It still looks good though.

I like the fresh look of TimeLeap, but would go as far to say it's better than Idol Master. Given some time and future development it could overtake Idol Master. Wait for the demo to download so I can give it a try.

Danny, if you are giving serious thought to virtualization go with VMware Fusion (http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/). I have used both Parallels and Fusion now on my MB Pro. Fusion is the better choice because it's more stable, flexible and easier to use than Parallels.

After watching the Idolm@ster video I've deducted that the graphics of Timeleap are better, but I think I prefer the songs from the Idolm@ster promo. Timeleap's characters eyes are less flat, they have more character. More shine. Awww heck just cuter lol.
