A few items of interest starting with this one before we continue with the coverage of the otaku events of late.

Are you fed up of walking like a boring human and would rather walk chicken style like a coolsome Scout Walker (tm)?
Well be fed up no more thanks to Kz Robot Laboratories Robot Suit Power Pedal.

Not only does the Power Pedal allow you to walk like a Scout Walker, it lets you kick your friends harder by enhancing your strength by seven times. Kz laboratories plan to make this device available to the elderly and also for disaster rescue services too. No price available yet but those who are interested will have to wait until the year 2015.

Folks who have Real Player installed can watch a video of a cute reporter using the Power Pedal.

Can anyone say "Harder kick to the balls" with your kick strength increasing by 7 fold, men beware of the women scout walker.

It would have been better if walking was fully automatized.
Imagine that if it was changed slightly, it could become a great replacement for wheelchairs (battery and solar-powered FTW).

Otherwise than that, add weapons to it and you get the skeleton of a Magitek Armor (Final Fantasy VI anyone?), Wanzer (what about Front Mission?) or Gundam and other mecha.

Once again, science at a critical point which branches to good or evil purposes.

all it needs now are gun turret placements. ^^ wonder what it would look like when combined with a segway. ^^

Looks painful to pilot, but thats not a problem if your lower half is paralyzed ^^; Neat concept though, one step away from replacing wheelchairs.
