oh wow, I had kinda stopped getting eva figures, cause I had gotten so many of them when I first started collecting, but it looks like I'm gonna have to make room for another one, this is absolutely gorgeous
Oh heck yes I'm gonna have to get this! I've wanted a couple of Shunya Yamashita figures and had a few preordered, but had to cancel when funds got tight and I decided I needed to cut back on figure purchases. But I am a sucker for Rei and Asuka figures it seems... Speaking of which, I wish Asuka would get the Shunya Yamashita drawing/figure treatment... as she *is* my favorite, and they'd look super together.. sigh I can only hope right!?
Even though I love how this figure looks, I'm not a big fan of Evangelion.. I would love to se a Motoko Kusanagi figure from the same artist though, now that is something I would buy in an instant :)

Rei throws away the old plugsuit and dons a much more sexier suit. The figure looks realistic and i notice there is slight difference between the figure and the illustration. Kinda blows away the originality, nevertheless a stunning figure.
Beautiful illustration, as usual, but won't buy the figure. To me, she's definitely NOT Rei. Or I should say that I'm really not fond of "re-designed" character, excepted chibi or Super Deformed versions ^^;
i prefer the original Rei so this one is not for me.
Shunya Yamashita can do very little wrong in my opinion. Yes, I'd buy this one (even though it's been out as a kit for a while now).

i like rei, especially this one, it was a resin kit, very expensive and no chance buy also. Now PVC, confirm will buy.
Mr. Yamashita's art is drop dead gorgeous but the figure somehow didn't caught the factor that Mr. Yamashita's art has ^^;;;
I'll admit, it has a different feeling than the other Rei figures but, I find that it's more interesting that way. I'm definitely planning on getting it!

somehow the eyes doesn't "electrify" me... so won't be getting this one. But without a doubt a very beautiful figure.

Honestly, I don't like how this figure of Rei turned out. It just doesn't portray the Rei in the anime. So yeah, thumbs down for me.
I love Shunya yamashita's work, and Rei is one of my Favourite anime characters, but im not feeling this for some reason... The face and the hair are outstandingly done, but im just not too keen on the interpretation of her costume. Its just not Rei - i would have rather him make an original character with her hair and face. I do still really like it, its just that ive gotta be brutally selective with my figure buying as im running out of space!
This is the best redesigned Rei figure I've seen..Unless she does sport this in the anime I must have missed it? I think the best accurate costume Rei would be from.. Enterbrain? No idea but she's in a sitting pose.

I really like how it makes her look more mature, most figures I see either SD her or they make her look to young, I really like this one. Probably one of the best I have seen of Rei

Hmmm...I like the illustration more than the figure itself honestly; the figure just looks to realistic to me.
This figure is simply stunning. This is more like a CGI version of Rei nearing the design quality of FF characters. I would like to see the rest of the characters in Evangelion just like this one.

This looks great, just like Yamashitas other work :D Im probably gonna pass on this one though, doesnt have the same appeal to me as the Rudy, Mirei and Sera-chan.

I really like this figure, especially since she's a blue-haired girl. Wish I knew where to purchase one from.
I've already gotten the resin version and this version has her eye patch removed which doesn't necessarily look better but looks just as damn good.
