Speaking of Death Note.. A Chinese Plane just burst into a fireball in Naha, Japan. There were 165 People aboard, and all of them espcaped unhurt. On ground engineer was knocked off his feet by the force of the blast, but was unhurt. The pilot jumped out the cockpit at the last second.
The director's cut? Told by Ryuk? lol, is he the director? Death note is the best psycho-thriller in anime to me. It is a must watch >.

I loved reading the deathnote manga up until the point where it just got ridiculous. If I finish the manga I'll definitely check out the rewrite.
This is going to be awesome :D. I'm kinda iffy about the L movie spinoff. I wasn't a big fan of the live action Death Note films at all.

A death god's POV, huh? Interesting. I was also hoping for an alternate ending - preferably one where Raito kills Matsuda slowly and painfully (I really despise that idiot - how on earth did he become a police anyway?). As for the movie, are the directors going to let the same actor play Raito? (They probably are.) That's a shame; that actor ruins Raito's image, both internally and externally.
Can't wait to watch this. Death Note was like the best anime ever up until the death of L where afterwards it kinda sucked already. heheh! ^^ Would like to see this though coz I'd like to know the story from Ryuk's perspective. :D Simply put...I like Ryuk! ^^

I was never a fan of Tatsuya Fujiwara as Light Yagami. The saving grace was Shidō Nakamura voicing Ryuk and Ken'ichi Matsuyama's wonderful performance as L in part I. Seeing Ryuk's perspective does sound somewhat appealing, but I am not a fan of fillers in general unless they are wrote and directed well (case in point: Full Metal Alchemist the anime).
