Next is are the garage kits starting off with a figure I hope they make into a PVC - Shirley Fennette.
BTW, I didnt Mirai-mark any of these images so this post is not safe for printing out and posting up on the wall.
Hidamari Sketch girls.
OK, many of you asked about these when I uploaded coverage of Wonfes 2007 Winter and I made a point of noting down the sculptor - Long Long Lab.
This is Shinkar- (シンカー) at 6,500 yen.
Mayfair at 6,500 yen.
Iruma (イルマ) at 7,500 yen.
Jubilee (ジュビリー) at 7,500 yen.
"Name that figure."
Forgive me if Im wrong but I think this is the work of CH Model.
But this definitely is CH Model.
"Name that figure."
"Name those figures."
I think these were monkeys dressed up in military gear.
Kawaii.
I was going to buy this but then realized that I had to make it myself. Well there were some completed kits up for sale and I thought that this was one...
"Name that character."

Only joking. Motoko Kusanagi.
Some lego mecha.
Some very scantly clad person.
This is KA REN to accompany SO RAN from Zero Cross. Would love a PVC of this too.
Great pair of eyes.
Yum.
"Name that figure."
I think shes an illustration used in one of the ads for Melon Books.
Louise-chan. Will she have eyes as big as her sister when shes older?
Is this one of the Hidamari girls?
C.C.
I think shes from the Yakin eroge series.
Nice sculpt but dont like the eyes.
Belldandy.
Saucy Belldandy.
Tamaki Kousaka.
More Belldandy.
Wots her name from Gunbuster.
"Name that figure."
Yukiho-chan.
Sasara Kusugawa from ToHeart2.
Leticia, from eroge Princess Holiday.
Louise.
Asuka.
Rei.
Mikuru-chan.
Nagato-kun.
Haruhi-kun.
Kimi Kiss girl I think.
Dunno but I see balloon shaped eyes.
Never did get to finish Eureka Seven. Did the quality of it stay high throughout?
Modeler T's Cream Corune.

Those kits from Long Long Lab are outstanding, especially Mayfairs. The designs kind of remind of Range Murata's a bit. Nice!

I'm pretty sure the Feena-lookalike is Leticia, from eroge Princess Holiday.

Hey there Danny,
there is a mistake. that isn't Mizuho-chan if you are referring to the girl below.
I am pretty sure that is Yukiho Hagiwara from THE IDOLM@STER.
That's all

Hehe, I don't even know what is a garage kit and I doubt I have one -_-;

Not sure if anyone has brought this up, but the figure that you said "is this one of the Hidamari girls?" is actually from Ichigo Mashimaro.

That Shinkar and Mayfair figures looks like hey came straight out of a Fallout game. heheh! It just reminds me about it.

Would love to see a pvc version of that Shirley and CC figure. Especially with the CC sitting down. ^^

What's a garage kit btw?

Garage kits are amateur-produced model kits. The term originated with dedicated hobbyists frustrated with being unable to find model kits of subjects they wanted on the market and so started producing kits of their own. As the processes of sculpting, casting and painting produce dust and fumes, most of the sculptors used their garages as their workshops, hence the name. Originally these kits were sold and traded between hobbyists at conventions, such as WonderFestival, but they have since gained popularity and now there are a number of companies, including Federation Models, Volks, WAVE/Be-J, Kaiyodo, Kotobukiya, and B-Club, producing these kinds of kits professionally.

I dont own any garage kits but they are readily available with all things sci-fi at my local hobby store (family owned and operated). They have a few anime garage kits and thats it, I was never good at painting or drawing people so I pass.

I love the 'dressed' Motoko and the lounging C.C.
But I would never buy a garage kit. I don't get why so many of the cool garage kits aren't picked up by a pvc maker...

now THIS is more like it!!!

Out of the kits shown, I'm most interested in Shirley and C.C. I already have another C.C kit and Cerberus projects Ignis.

I'll see if I can squeeze in Ignis the red as well...

Er, speaking of Bell, I'm looking for a good figurine of her that's readily available (i.e. still in print, and not a garage kit, eheh). Any recommendations on one? Been a fan since forever.

I think that figure with the gray hair and glasses which you think is from Hidamari Sketch. I think it's from Ichigo Mashimaro (just love those girls from Ichigo Mashimaro ;p)

I'm not really into buying figure that I still have to paint myself. It's all a bit up to the skills of the painter then. I'd be more interested in trying a gunpla model.

Thanks for sharing Danny. The pieces from Long Long Lab were absolutely stunning work. I hope to see more of their pieces in the future.

As to your question about Eureka Seven it becomes slow in the beginning, gradually becomes better, but toward the middle it has a slump then it transitions towards ultimate greatness.

For the most part has the studio Bones ever let you down?

Marauder: Thanks, yeah, I saw that, looks nice. Funnily enough, I think I saw that fig being sold here already. Took a look at her up close, and she didn't look as good. Now I'm wondering if it's a fake I saw, or a different fig altogether.
