Next up is the Revoltech stuff by Kaiyodo. Its interesting how Kaiyodo are the hosts of the Wonder Festival but their offerings are much less than Good Smile for example. I didn't notice any of the Bome figures on display either (or I missed them).

Didnt get the name of this one but I'm guessing from the leg joints that its from Patlabor?

I dont own any Revoltech figures at the moment. While articulation is great, the paintwork on some of them looks a bit rough around the edges.
The ones on display however looked pretty decent - hope the released versions end up looking cool too.

These two figures look awesome - more Patlabor?

They are releasing all the Valkyrie types - a must have to keep you awake during boring meetings.

The cloth around the neck shouldn't really be that shiny I guess but the rest looks good.

I took more photos of these new Revoltec figures but they died with the flash memory so only have two to show you ToT

Didnt really take to Patlabor so I cant tell the difference between this and the previous versions. I do like the mecha design though.

BTW2, The server is taking a battering with the huge amounts of incoming traffic due to the coverage. If you get a timeout - just refresh the browser or try again in a few mins.

The Brocken Labor in the first pic (which looks rather knightish) and the Helldivers are both military labor from the patlabor series. They are my fav in the patlabor series, I like them much much more than the main mecha Patlabors themselves. Hope the Brocken Labor would come with the labor-sized MG42.

The next thing I would wish for in the Revoltech line will be the pods, glogs and destroids from the Macross series. We hardly get figs of those.

Agree, I really like their version of Rei Ayanami because of the well-hidden joints. Their Yotsuba also is cuter than what I have seen online. Completely work safe, might get both of them :)

Revoltech figures are quite good. Not too pricey, and their articulations are definitely better and at times smoother than western-made (eg: McFarlane) action figures I own. I preordered Yotsuba, which should arrive around late September. Can't wait to pose her with all the miniature scale guns and weapons that I have. (^__^)

I have a modest collection of only 3 Revoltech. I haven't seen any shoddy paint jobs on the ones I own though. All of it is crisp and rather accurate. The new Patlabor ones look great!

I have Roy's valkyrie, I always thought it was the coolest. But it cost around 100 USD so I don't think I'll buy another for a while. I can put it in the three different modes and it can shoot projectiles, already lost three lol.

Revoltech line is getting better and better. I got myself the Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus figures. Really impressed by the level of detail. Next up will be Valkries. I hope they come out with a Gurren Laggan version. That would be hot!

I got a few Revoltechs and plan on getting many more. I really like the small size and have been real happy with the paint jobs. I love the Getter Robo stuff. I am a big fan of classic mecha like that.

I like the Patlabor Revoltechs, especially the Helldiver (the green ones). The other grey ones are the Brocken ones used by the military. ;)

I don't know what's different in the new Ingram 1 aka Alphonse either.

I watched Patlabor and liked both Brocken and Helldiver very much. The Brocken especially, is a more worthy opponent for Patlabor as compared to all the other industrial use Labors. Helldiver with the military knife pose is awesome.

On the other hand, I don't really like the figure of Rei. Purely personal opinion of course, but the many joints on her body makes her look very mechanical. The finishing look is being sacrificed for the articulation.

I bet it will look worse when some paint fall off after a while #.#

I would go for her figurine instead.

Revoltechs are good and all, but action figures never really hit it for me. The joints and stuff make them look weird, while static figures don't (because there aren't any, of course). The Figma line might change that though, the joints aren't as obvious as one would think.

Nice pics. They look great unpainted. Tons o'detail. I really like the look of the new fraulein series. Might get Asuka, but im not very creative with my poseable figures. I tend to keep them in one boring pose - i dont 'play' with my figures. Id rather have a large, good quality, pre-posed one.

I got two Revoltechs so far, Saber and Black Saber. I normally don't like their humanoid ones since I prefer them in a static figure pose, but the sabers were an exception.

I wouldn't mind a Mecha Revoltech one day.

The problem with human revolvtechs are that the joints really show up badly and makes them look odd.

Mecha kits are far less affected. Having said that, I own the saber and dark saber revolvtechs. but the joints are fairly well hidden under the armour.

I don't really see the point of revolvtech rei, Asuka or Rin tho. Or the macross one since, for me, macross stuff have to be able to do the transformations!!

The one Revolvtech I reeeeeeeeeally want tho, is the revolvtech dangaioh!! It's the only merchandise i have ever seen of one of my fave mechas of all time!!! But it's proving to be rather elusive at the moment.

I would buy some in a second, but the only place I can find them is online, some web sites that I have never heard of before. Can anyone recommend a reliable site to buy these from (preferably in the US)? I would appreciate it. The patlabor figures look superb, even though Im not into them that much.
