I believe they do this in China and Thailand too, though not as "comfortable" lol. It's just a guy who picks out stuff from your ear while you sit on a chair. Not something for me.

Resting on the soft lap of a kimono-clad beauty sounds very nice, but I would also imagine that replacing the kimono (or yukata?) with a maid's white lace apron would also be heavenly. A small question comes to mind, though. Even taking into account the drink and the oshibori, I imagine that your ears would get tired after more than half an hour of gentle scraping and cleaning... Especially if you opt for the 60 minute course :) There must be more going on than meets the ... ear?

ear wax is a source of high protein, but should not be taken out as our ears have the natural ability to push the wax out on its own. Furthermore the wax in the ear is there to protect the insides of the ear

You are quite the dream-shatter specialist ;) Still, personally, I would not be interested in that kind of services. Like for the "Foot massage by patented maid" one, I feel that the relationship is kind of fake. it is all about a service, like having a haircut, but worse because it is time-related. I still have the mental image of one who would secretly look at some chronometer all the time or a watch precisely set for that purpose. That kills all kinds of dreams, and the worse is that your fantasies go for a high price, somehow. More for ear cleaning, that I don't feel particularly useful already.
