The UI of this site even confuses me at times but you may want to try diving into the Japan portal, Figure portal or view everything together first.
The top index page is called the Gateway and after you have gotten used to the site for a while you may want to set it to regular mode. This site is run by Danny Choo - former Engineer for Japan Airlines, Website Manager for Amazon, Windows Live Product Manager for Microsoft and currently in startup mode for his own IT firm in Tokyo.
